The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the official notification for the UGC NET June 2025 examination on April 16, 2025. This exam is conducted to assess the eligibility of candidates for the roles of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.

The online application process is now active at ugcnet.nta.ac.in, and all interested candidates must apply before the deadline.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements

  • General / EWS candidates must have secured 55% marks in their postgraduate degree.
  • OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender candidates require at least 50% marks.

UGC NET June 2025 will be held in Computer-Based Mode (CBT) across various cities in India. Applicants can select their preferred test city during registration.

✅ Selection Process

There are no separate stages or interviews. The final eligibility for Assistant Professor or JRF will be based on:

  • Performance in both papers combined
  • Cutoff criteria as set by NTA and UGC

Candidates qualifying for JRF are also eligible for Assistant Professor, but not vice versa.
